Job Summary

The Head of IT Transversal Applications at EQUANS Belux will lead efforts to transform IT into a strategic partner for various business divisions and supporting teams. This role involves providing leadership within the “Transversal IT” functional domain, which includes essential IT functions such as middleware, the ServiceNOW suite, WalkMe, data management, and robotic process automation.

Additionally, this position will also serves as an IT Business Partner (ITBP), responsible for building and nurturing relationships with one or more Operational Business Unit stakeholders, translating IT capabilities into business value, facilitating communication and be “the voice of the Business” within IT.

The Head of IT Transversal Applications is part of the Belux IT Core Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Guidance: Direction and strategy will be provided for the Transversal IT domain, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivery of expected results.
  • Team Management: Oversight of a multidisciplinary team comprising product owners, service delivery managers, analysts, developers, and testers, including all aspects of staffing and performance management.
  • Budget Responsibility: Financial stewardship of the Transversal IT domain, ensuring resource allocations are aligned with strategic goals.
  • Collaboration: Close collaboration with the Chief Information Officer to implement the IT vision, as well as engagement with other tower leads to enhance the overall maturity and performance of the IT organization.
  • Business Partnership: Acting as an IT business partner by fostering relationships with stakeholders across the organization, translating IT capacity into business value, and addressing stakeholder needs and concerns.
  • Support Structure: Leveraging support from cyber security, architecture, financial control, and transversal IT roles such as project managers and change managers to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Lines of Communication

  • Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to the CIO.
  • Team Structure: Leadership of a team of 15-20 persons, including product owners, analysts, and developers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regular communication with other IT Core team members and business representatives to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in people management, demonstrating a strong focus on team dynamics and performance.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple teams, projects, and tasks simultaneously with a focus on results.
  • Team Orientation: Emphasis on prioritizing team success over individual accomplishments.

Technical Experience:

  • At least 5 years in an IT service organization, 5 years in a project-driven environment.
  • Experience is an agile environment is a plus.
