Job Summary

The Head of IT Processes and Governance is a dynamic and rigorous leader who drives the IT governance framework and processes across Equans IT Belux with relentless determination. This role demands a proactive approach to managing IT processes, policies, and compliance to optimize efficiency, mitigate risks, and support business goals.

The Head of IT Processes and Governance is part of the Belux IT Core Team.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Processes and Governance

  • Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. The main processes in scope are ITIL processes and IT Investment process.
  • Process Management: Lead the review, the re-design (where needed), the documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Ensure IT operations are always in compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Conduct reviews of IT processes and governance practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and rigorously monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure optimum performance of IT processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management and external partners when needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate IT-related risks with a proactive mindset.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training and support to IT staff on governance and process management, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Digitalisation strategy & Application Ownership of associated IT Tooling
    • Define the right application landscape and implementation roadmap.
    • Business stakeholder towards IT & in charge of the business requirements regarding digitalisation of our IT processes & governance.
    • Validate solutions and provide the right level of end user documentation.

2. PMO Management

  • Oversee the IT Project & Service Management Office (PMO): Ensure effective project & service management governance and resource allocation of Project Managers.
  • Project Delivery: Lead the PMO team and the Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.

Lines of Communication

  • Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to the CIO.
  • Team Structure: Leadership of a team of 15-20 team members, including 10+ IT Project Managers
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regular communication with all IT Core team members and business representatives to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field experience.

Relevant IT Process certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and project management certifications (e.g., PMI, Prince2) are required.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT governance, process management, PMO, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

ServiceNow experience is an asset

Skills:

Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practices.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards is a plus.

Languages: proficiency in at least one of the Belgian national languages (French /Dutch) and in English is a must.
