Within the new Carbon Shift entity, the energy and carbon consulting department is looking for an experienced Business Developer to drive our commercial activities and provide our new and existing clients with concrete solutions to shape their low-carbon transition operational plans.

Imagine a role where your expertise in energy management, electricity, and HVAC shapes the efficiency, comfort, and environmental impact of buildings and industries across Belgium.

By leading our commercial activities in energy and carbon audits, engineering, and energy project design, you will join Equans in Brussels and Nivelles and be at the heart of a sustainable energy transition.

Ready to take on the challenge? As a Business Developer your missions will include:

• prospecting, identifying, and assessing project opportunities by collaborating with various teams to create technically suitable and innovative solutions
• establishing financial models and offers: risk analyses, preparing commercial offers, and leading negotiations
• actively maintaining a thorough knowledge of Equans, Carbon Shift, the industry, our clients, the sector, and competitive trends
• supporting the development of references, case studies, and other sales materials
• participating in marketing campaigns and representing Equans and Carbon Shift at business and industrial events

Discover if we are a match:

• civil, industrial, or commercial engineering degree or a master’s degree in an economic field with a good technical understanding
• significant experience of over 5 years in business development, sales, and commercial evolutions
• knowledge and experience in technical design (energy management, electricity, HVAC), project management (planning, process management, etc.), coordinating various stakeholders, and negotiation
• analytical and organizational skills that enable you to manage complex projects, understand risks, and solve problems
• understanding of the energy sector, climate change, and/or sustainability
• commitment to continuous improvement
• clear and structured communication, responsiveness, and proactivity
• fluency in French and Dutch
